Wheel of Fortune is a great way to review words that come from your word-walls, and reading, language charts, math, science, or social studies. Teachers, for example, can pull word-wall words from a language charts word wall. For example, abbreviation, capitalization, and punctuation. With Wheel of Fortune, before the word is revealed, students are able to spin the wheel.
When they spin the wheel, they are able to give us a vowel, or a consonant, to fill in the word that will have blanks, and let us know what category each word will fall under. In our case, these words fall under the category of editing. Students will know if we are reviewing math, reading, language, science, or social studies, so it wont really be heard for them or a guess to figure out what the word is, because they already know what subject that were focused on. This is a great way to review.
