In my classroom, its important that language is present in every subject. Behind me you can see how language is important in visual art. To build confident artists, I taught them the elements and the principles of design. We learned what the definition of form was, space, color, and how to effectively incorporate these elements of design in their artwork. They really needed to understand the word before they could implement it in their artwork.
