Teacher: So another great feature of Starfall is when you're introducing your students to word families there's a section on here, so if I press the /at/ family. Starfall Website: Make a word with at, /at/ to match the picture. /hat/. Teacher: So the students being engaged, and the teacher together, can use the visuals in this word family activity and fill in the missing letter. So here we have a picture of a hat, so the hat is a visual cue to the students, they can choose from multiple of letters and think about what is the beginning sound of that word. Starfall Website: /h/a/t/, /h/at/ Teacher: So even if a student were to choose a letter or a beginning sound that was incorrect, for example C, it bounces back and it just reconfirms that maybe their choice wasn't the right choice.
