Planning for Book Talks Using the Promethean Board (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
Book talks are our regular activity that we take part in our classroom. Each day three or four students will report to the class on a book they're reading. Before we do this, we come up with a set of criteria that are important to the students. In this case, this year the students set a length of time, which was 1-2 minutes and they determined they would report on what the book is about, who wrote the book, but most importantly that they make a critical statement about the book and a recommendation as to whether or not this is a good book for others to read.
Activity Objective
The goal of Read, Write, Share: Planning for Book Talks Using the Promethean Board (Virtual Tour) is to develop an organizational system for monthly book talks.
