The math board behind is our math continuum. Essentially what we have done as a class is we have highlighted the 5 strands of math that we can find in our curriculum, and in each box, we've chosen big concepts that we've learned and represented them with student's work. This is especially important that it's represented with student work, so that the students can use it as a reference guide. So when they're trying to recall the material we've learned they can go back and they can look. These reference posters, unlike regular anchor charts are actual examples of work we've done. Whether it's a problem, or a chart or a poster that really helps the students to recall the key concepts.
Activity Objective
The goal of A Continuum of Math: Components of a Math Program (Virtual Tour) is to help build students' understanding of a variety of math concepts through problem-solving tasks and by displaying information on a math resource board.

- Students take ownership of their own learning by completing problems and charts for the resource board.
- Display math problems throughout the year to show student progress, growth and success.
