Reading Corner
Creating a Space for Students to Explore Texts
Transcript
In my grade two classroom, I have created a corner in which the children can come and read. It's not important just to have fiction books, but non-fiction books. It gives you a way of integrating the different subject areas. Why not put a globe at the round table for the children to peruse and look for the continents and oceans and the countries that they come from. Include a lot of non-fiction books so they're looking for factual information and a lot of new ideas that they didn't know before.
