It's important for me to teach the children the different forms of writing that are purposeful. In this case we have worked on making lists, and before a child can go off and make their own list, of course I need to model that. And then I create this anchor chart to remind them of the features of the list and how we can go about making one. First we choose a topic, we pick our paper because I like to give them a variety of paper. You write your name, a lot of them forget that. We always use our date stamp. Add your title at the top, add your numbers for your list, write your words, and lastly, add your pictures.
