Meaningful Attendance
Question of the Day Prompts a Written Response (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
Every day we have sign in time, which gives the children another opportunity to practice their writing. I always present them with a question of the day before they enter the classroom. In this case it's a yes or no answer. The question here was "did you wear a hat today?" And they just have to write that answer. At the beginning you'll find that the children will like to just write the beginning sound of that word, but now, all of a sudden, almost everybody's able to write the whole word. Sometimes I want the children to have opportunities to practice writing their names so they could also just write their name to answer the question of the day.
