In our morning routine when students come to the carpet we discuss various things, how they're doing, start our day, but we'll also do the calendar and also talk about the weather. A way to integrate this in to various other areas of study is to keep track of the weather. So we use a data management board, and as we're running through our data management unit it is a real life application of that learning concept. And afterwards when the concepts are solid the students can actually reflect upon it and make conclusions on that real life data throughout the year.
