Leveled Reading Bins
Matching Books to Readers Through Classroom Organization (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
I have leveled my entire reading collection here so that when I'm assessing students it makes it very clear which level text that they're reading at. It also makes it very clear to the students as well, which level they're reading at, so when they go to choose new books for their bin, they can go to a particular basket and choose those four books that they're going to be bringing home that evening. I think its really important for students to have choice in their reading material so that they take ownership over the books it is that they're reading at home and on the carpet each day. So I like to indicate which level they're reading at so that they can come here and choose those books that they feel are going to appeal to them that week.
