Practicing Being a Good Reader
Using Success Criteria in Kindergarten (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
After a discussion of what it is that students are doing to practice being good readers, I will often note on a chart what it is that they were doing to be good readers so students can take ownership of that strategy and reflect on it later on and see that they have utilized that strategy. So I'll use a chart such as this, Good readers: How are you practicing being a good reader today? We see here that Elizabeth and Anastasia were practicing being good readers by carefully opening the book and turning the pages.
