One of my favorite professional books is Mindsets in the Classroom. This book is written by Mary Cay Ricci and she was inspired by the work of Dr. Carol Dweck, who believes that a growth mindset, hard work, and effort, are key predictors of student success. This book gives teachers ideas and strategies as to how to build a growth mindset classroom. It also challenges notions for both students and teachers regarding ability, potential, and intelligence.
