This area is our meeting area. The students and I gather here on a daily basis to discuss our plans for the day, as well as to go through mini-lessons in reading and writing. So I often meet with them back here and teach them the lesson that were focusing on for the day, and we also have our discussions back here related to various subjects that we are discussing in class. This area's also our reading area, so the students are able to come back here and enjoy their books with themselves or with a partner when they're reading to someone and they have many books to choose from in our classroom library, and our classroom library is always building throughout the year as well depending on what the students are interested in. I try to find books that they are motivated to read. So there are some comfy areas for them to take out a book from our classroom library and either read to someone or to read to self.
