Building Sentences with Sentence Strips
Understanding Sentence Structure (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
With this particular activity the story strips are used to give children a better understanding of proper sentence structure. So, for example, lets look at this sentence. This says "the pig has a bushy tail", we all know that pigs do not have a bushy tail, so this does not make any sense. And as you can see, this is the correct sentence structure because you have picture cues, and it says an elephant has a long nose. So this is the correct sentence structure.
