Popplet App
Brainstorming Graphic Organizers for Laptops and Tablets (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
This app is called Popplet and you can use it on the iPad or the computer. You can create individual graphic organizers but you can also create one as a group. Here I've created a brainstorm of all the things that I'm an expert at. This was part of our lesson about writing "All About Books". I was able to model to my students how to create a brainstorm. My students eventually made one using voice recordings, but this was a visual representation of my thinking. It's very easy to use and easy to manipulate, and once again it allows you to type, insert a picture, insert a video, or even draw your own picture to show your thinking. In the yellow box at the top, you can see the different options you have for inputting information. What's great about this is that you can instantly input a picture or video off of your camera roll. You can type whatever you'd like to type, and you can even draw the picture. You can change the color, make the box bigger or smaller, move it, add another box to it. The possibilities are quite endless with Popplet.
