In my classroom, I like to keep a variety of games for word building, high frequency and just consolidating skills that students are learning and already practicing. If the word "game" is attached to it, the hope is that students will have fun with it and find another way to practice really important skills. The best thing is when, during free time, students choose these games to play. 

They can use word cards and play Bingo with them or Go Fish. They can roll the dice and make new words. They can use magnetic letters and build words, or play kind of a make shift game of Scrabble. This is another word building game and it just allows them to practice the skills that they're already learning in class in formal lessons in a more casual and fun way.
