Personal Journal Writing
Building Interest and Confidence in Writing (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
Although we love using the iPads for writing workshop, my students still really enjoy writing in their journals. And journals are also a place where they can write about anything they want, whether it be true, make-believe, and what happened on the weekend. We try and fit in journal writing about once a week or really whenever students request it. Sometimes they even pick up a journal during their free time. Students also like to decorate their journal. Inside, students often start with a picture and then they write their words. It's a great place for us to communicate and also a great place for me to check in on their writing.
