Science and Nature
Exploring Natural Artifacts at the Science Center (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
'Observation,' 'exploration' and 'discovery' are three fantastic words that the children use within our science program. And the best way to have children understand about science is to bring nature into the classroom. We have a magnifying table, for observation; we have a miniature magnifying glass, for close-ups; I can also bring insects into the classroom, for the children to observe, and of course we will return them safely into their world, as we were visiting; but also to have a pen and paper available or a pencil and paper available, so that the children can write about or draw what they see and what their observations are.
Activity Objective
