Can You Read Me?
Building Spelling and Vocabulary (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
I created this Can You Read Me game box. When we open the box there are words inside. This game can be played in two ways. The children come to the box and can play charades by pulling out a card and opening and reading to themselves. After they've read the word n the card they act it out and the children have to guess what animal they are. It really stimulates reading in a fun way. As a teacher activity, I will hold up one of these name cards and the children have to ... act it out, without calling out what the card says. And that way we know that each and every one of the children are engaged and having fun while reading.
