Jolly Phonics
Teaching Letter Formation (Virtual Tour)
Transcript
The children are given an opportunity to put letters within a book, and within that book they learn how to form the letters. And they come up with words that may have those letter sounds in them, and they write the word through sounding them out, and they draw a picture that goes along with them.
Activity Objective
The goal of Jolly Phonics: Teaching Letter Formation (Virtual Tour) is to use a method introduced by Sara Wernham and Sue Lloyd to explicitly teach handwriting and appropriate letter-formation and provide effective opportunities to practice.
